I am originally from the Dallas area, attending high school at the Hockaday School and receiving my BA at SMU. I received my law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. I began tutoring in 2003 in Chicago, where I spent a year working with AmeriCorps. I also worked for The University of Chicago Center for Urban School Development, and served as a Literacy Tutor for elementary students, helping them with homework and math. During this time, I learned how to help students become engaged with the material they were learning. While in college and law school, I had the opportunity to study in France, Ireland, Hong Kong, and China. It was rewarding to study among students and faculty from different cultures, and I bring this experience to the table. Good scores on the ACT, SAT, and other tests are important, and being fully prepared is essential. I can help in this area. In my free time, I enjoy reading, travel, sports, and animals.
