Private tutor in Dallas, TX
Education
University of Washington - BS, Botany , The Ohio State University - PhD, Microbiology
Experience
I attended the University of Washington and then went on to Ohio State University, where I received my PhD in Microbiology. I work for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas as a research assistant. I also teach Microbiology at Collin County Community College. During my four years of teaching and tutoring, I have recognized that every individual learns differently and grown comfortable adapting the way I teach to the needs of each student. I really enjoy watching the light that comes on in a student when material becomes clear and he or she begins to move toward mastery. I am available for tutoring in Biology, Microbiology, Writing, and English, as well as SAT and GRE test preparation. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading about history and science, as well as science fiction. I also like nature photography and football, and am learning to play the guitar.
