Experience
Although an attorney by trade, I enjoy tutoring, teaching, and mentoring. I have volunteered with Literacy Instruction for Texas since 2011, as an adult literacy teacher. Literature is a subject I like, but another favorite is U.S. and European history. I believe history is about connecting individuals and events and I illustrate these with the help of first hand accounts and historical anecdotes. By bringing history to life, I can help students remember dates, names, and events.I went to Washington & Lee University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in European History, and earned my law degree at the University of Houston Law Center. As a lawyer, reading and clear, concise writing are essential tools. I have improved on my own skills during my 25 year career and passing these on to others gives me great satisfaction. Presently, I live in Dallas, Texas and enjoy literature, home remodeling, collecting, and Texas BBQ in my free time.
