EducationUniversity of Texas at Austin - B.S./B.A., Biology/History
ExperienceI'm a Texan, born and bred, and I attended the University of Texas at Austin. I hold two bachelor's degrees: one is in History with Special Honors and the other is in Biology with Honors. While I was attending university, I was employed by my school's Learning Center as a tutor. My duties included conducting group tutoring sessions, as well as individual ones. I held that position for three years, and during that time I specialized in helping students with their Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry classes. When I work with my pupils, I try to break the concepts they are learning down to the simplest forms. I find it very helpful to use everyday examples, if possible, to illustrate my points.Since my own studies have exposed me to a number of topic areas, I am qualified to offer tutoring assistance to learners in several subjects. I'm comfortable offering help in Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biostatistics, American History, Government, ESL/ELL, English, German, Korean, Social Sciences, Study Skills and Organization, SAT Subject Tests, and more.In my spare time, I like to read a mixture of fiction and non-fiction. I enjoy watching and playing basketball, and watching football. I'm a fan of fantasy football, and I'm a previous championship winner. I also like to go running and participate in Spartan races.
