Experience
I am an English and Spanish teacher with experience teaching students from elementary to adult level. I possess a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, which I received from the University of North Texas. I also possess a Music minor. I attended the University of Wyoming where I earned an Master of Arts in Spanish. During my time at said university, I was employed as a Spanish instructor, as well as a translator and lecturer. I was also employed in the Writing Center, where I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to students from around the world. Upon graduating in 2013, I was employed at Austin Community College teaching ESL to adults. While pursuing my education, I studied abroad in Spain, where I continued to tutor ESL. I also volunteered at a grade school in Ghana. Upon returning to the US, I obtained my ESL certification from Seattle University. I was later offered a position in Hungary, teaching junior high school students. I later returned to the US once again and continued to teach in Texas. Aside from ESL, I am also very passionate about music. I believe that the best way to get students excited about something is to encourage them to connect with their peer group. My hobbies include outdoor activities, especially bike riding and going on hikes.
