John L.
Private tutor in Dallas, TX
Education
I am currently two courses and a thesis away from my second graduate degree, which will be an M.A. in Humanities with a specialization in philosophy. This degree, which shall be from the University of Dallas, has required, on top of several courses in philosophy, work in history and literature. My first graduate degree was in theological studies, which I received from Southern Methodist University. Of course, an ability for critical thought, reasoning, and an excellent ability to write critical essays are requisite for graduate studies.
Experience
I have taught a couple of courses for professors during my time at SMU as a teaching assistant. I have further assisted other students with their studies on a volunteer basis. During that time, I greatly enjoyed the benefits of tutoring. I myself required tutoring in Algebra II during high school, and I am fully aware of the positive results that can come from a good tutor. I am thoroughly capable of assisting my students not only of receiving better grades, but to be able to understand the material themselves and to work through the problems on their own.

Hobbies
I enjoy reading (of course!), but I especially enjoy sports. If you like baseball, then we will get along very well! I also play golf, practice yoga, rock climb, hike, cycle, and go for walks with my dog. I enjoy almost all kinds of music, and I really enjoy a good cup of coffee.
