I am currently a law student at SMU Dedman School of Law and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development from The University of Texas at Austin.
Experience
I have previous experience tutoring children ages five to thirteen. I really enjoy the process, especially when you consider my background in Early Childhood Development. I have the following SAT scores: 720 in Reading Comprehension, 670 in Writing, and 650 in Math. I want to be a tutor because I like to help people and I enjoy the teaching process. I have been told I am a caring and nurturing, and I believe these are great qualities any tutor should have! As far as tutoring English, I have known the language since the age of five and I believe I have the social intelligence to relate to people from different backgrounds since I immigrated to this country too. I can help with conversational and writing skills. As far as tutoring the LSAT, I took a class with Powerscore when I was studying for it and I had great success with the test. I would love to help others studying for it too and I can provide advice and guidance on all three tested areas. As far as tutoring children (Kindergarten through 8th grade), I can help with math and english. I love interacting with kids! I would also like to help shy children with their public speaking skills. Since I am in law school, I understand a lot of things about articulating myself and helping others gain the confidence to do the same! It's such a valuable skill in today's world and it is an accomplishment no one can take away from your child!
