Education

Brigham Young University - Idaho - BS, Applied Mathematics , Southern Methodist University - Ph.D, Computational and Applied Mathematics

Experience

I attended Brigham Young University where I earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. I moved to Dallas recently with my family, and I am currently attending Southern Methodist University to earn my Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics. While in college, I worked as a tutor for math courses, assisting with elementary through advanced levels. I am able to assist with Algebra (levels 1-4), Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (levels 1-3), and Differential Equations. I have always enjoyed tutoring math. I enjoy being a problem-solver and then interpreting the knowledge gained in a concise and understandable manner. When I began my college career, I intended to become a teacher. I have worked through several courses on education. This has improved my ability to relate to and assist students with a wide variety of skill levels, from the under-performing to the successful. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also love working out, cooking, and playing the guitar.
