I am a tutor located in Dallas, TX. I have experience tutoring students in a wide range of age groups and skill levels, and I believe my education and work have given me insight into the value of one-on-one learning. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Speech Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas. I also have my master's degree in Communication from Louisiana State University. While in college I worked as a Teaching Assistant in addition to tutoring student athletes. I have experience teaching a variety of subjects, but Math is my favorite subject to tutor. I enjoy helping students break down very complex concepts into smaller parts where they can approach the problem and reach a solution. It is very rewarding to see a student overcome a mental block, and increase their confidence in their abilities. Other subjects I enjoy teaching are Algebra, Public Speaking, Social Sciences, Geometry, Statistics, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Reading, Writing, and English. I am an avid learner, whether I am creating music, exercising, studying medicine, cooking, or traveling. I strongly promote and encourage continual learning with my students. I believe by maintaining a positive attitude towards learning I can help students maximize their potential.
