I am a graduate of Furman University with a bachelor's degree in Religion and History and a focus in Latin American Studies. I went on to become a graduate of Emory University with a master's degree. I am presently enrolled at SMU in the Religious Studies doctorate program. My career objective is to be a professor at the college level, but I enjoy helping students of any level. I am a qualified tutor in editing and writing essays, Religious Studies, GRE and SAT verbal and writing prep, and Spanish. I really love helping individuals with writing. I believe that the learning process involved in writing a clear essay can assist them to be effective communicators and build their self-esteem and confidence. It allows them to express themselves, not only in the school room, but outside it as well. These are characteristics they will instill within themselves and apply throughout their entire lives. I deeply understand this, as I once struggled to be able to express my thoughts with self-assurance in writing. Because of my understanding, it is a passion of mine to nurture self-assurance in all the individuals I help. In my spare time, I like to relax with friends, play the viola, cook, and read.
