I am a student at Southern Methodist University, located in Dallas, Texas, where I have a double major in mathematics and mechanical engineering, along with a physics minor. I have been tutoring since I was in my second year of high school, where I helped my classmates overcome any struggles in mathematics.I find it to be a very rewarding experience when students finally have that moment of clarity where these difficult concepts begin to make sense. It is my primary goal to inspire the students to feel excited as they pursue math. Unlike other subjects, like English as social studies, math provides one with a number of avenues to reach the final answer. Subjects like history, for example, allow for only one solution.I am eager to help students improve their understanding in a number of math courses, such as elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, and general science. I am also able to help students prepare for the SAT, especially the mathematics portion.When I am outside of the classroom, I enjoy being outdoors in nature and playing sports. I play for my university's rugby team.
