Experience
I earned an undergraduate degree in theater, with an English concentration, at Hofstra University. Post graduation, I resided for a number of years in Manhattan, New York, and started to write professionally. I've lived in Dallas, Texas, for quite some time now, and while here I have primarily instructed and tutored on a full-time basis. I've been able to tap into the knowledge gained during my post-secondary years to help students grow.I truly enjoy working with people to help them bolster their writing and reading skills, and I accomplish this by introducing them to great literature and theater pieces. I find it personally rewarding whenever the people I teach and tutor get excited by great works that might actually be hundreds of years old.The greatest reward for me is when I work one-on-one with students and enable them to achieve their full potential, learn the material well enough to ace a difficult test, or experience an "Aha!" moment whenever they come to grasp the meaning of a difficult passage. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy theater, cooking, crossword puzzles, and music.
