Experience

I'm a recent graduate of Rice University where I received a BA in Biochemistry and Hispanic Studies. I'm currently working toward a medical degree, and I am tutoring to help cover my expenses and pass on my love of science to a generation of future doctors. I'm happy to help anyone who needs it with Math, Science, Spanish, or any of the numerous standardized tests that are needed to advance in education these days. When working with students, I try to make the subject matter as interesting as possible. I am a firm believer in the idea that any subject can be interesting if it's presented the right way. I always try to adapt my teaching style with how my students learn best. Making the material we're covering enjoyable makes both of our jobs easier. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing soccer, snowboarding, cooking, and planning my next travel adventure. A big part of why I want to become a doctor is my deep desire to help people. I see tutoring as another way to help people, and perhaps make a big enough difference in someone's life to change it for the better.
