Education
The University of Texas at Dallas - Bachelors, Mechanical EngineeringExperience
I earned my bachelor's degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas in Dallas. For my entire life, I have enjoyed Science and Math. I see both of these topics as puzzles with patterns that can be followed using logic to arrive at the correct destinations. In a broad sense, I simply enjoy the learning process and being able to be part of that process for others. I believe that schools can sometimes make the process of learning stressful for students, so I aim to maintain a laid back atmosphere in my tutoring sessions. My goal is to instill good habits in the students so they not only learn the material at hand but also are able to move forward and apply those skills elsewhere. I have worked with students from as young as sixth grade up through high school. I am comfortable tutoring Math from the junior high level all the way up through Pre-Calculus. Geometry is my favorite Math subject to teach because of the visual and logic aspects. I can also assist students as they prepare for standardized tests like the SAT. When I am not in the classroom, I like to play board games and spend time with my family and friends.Hobbies
