Volunteer ESL Tutor at Dallas Public Library, through the Dallas Literacy Program (Started May 2015) April 15, 2014: Completed a creative research project complete with abroad travel and interviews through SMU's most prestigious student achievement: Engaged Learning I want to be a tutor because I absolutely love teaching. I discovered this once starting as an ESL instructor with the Dallas Public Library and volunteering for a short time as an ESL instructor with Mosaic Family Services. There is nothing like watching the lightbulb go on in someone's head when the information finally clicks. I enjoy working with my students to find a common language; everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, which translates to their different learning styles.
