Experience
I recently earned my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M, and am set to begin medical school at UT Southwestern this upcoming fall. I mention this to emphasize how familiar I am with the courses I am able to tutor-- I have spent many long hours with the material and know first hand how difficult some of the concepts can be. I began tutoring my peers at A&M in small review sessions and study groups, and progressed to tutoring local high school students preparing for their AP exams. Additionally, I have spent the last 2 semesters of my college education working as a TA in the biology department for both microbiology and introductory biology. I also have 4 years worth of research experience in a bacterial genetics research lab that especially help me to clarify fundamental concepts of microbiology. I scored in the 96th percentile on the MCAT in April of 2018. Upon request, I am willing to send a copy of this score report as well as my unofficial transcript. Whether it's a class or the MCAT you need help preparing for, I am happy to be both a resource and a source of support. I am an absolute people person and consider myself to be very patient. I love dogs and coffee, and I am never without good music and a funny story.
